Palworld Cheats Prove We Can't Have Nice Things

, the wildly popular survival and creature-collecting game created by Pocketpair is undergoing many changes, including a roadmap that includes elements like PvP, new bosses, and entire sections of the map being built out. That said, one pervasive issue plaguing the game at the moment seems to be drawing the attention and ire of the developers, and it's not exactly a place that most players are even aware of or care about. PC version on Steam gives players access to official servers hosted by devs — which, at the time of writing, seems to be infested with hackers and cheaters exploiting the game.

According to a Pocketpair post on Steam, currently, users are unable to connect to official servers due to malicious actions by third parties. The creators of the game plan to address the issue as a priority in development. To do so, the company will release a player list function at the end of February, which will help identify cheaters. also plans to introduce an external anti-cheat solution, something many PC players are typically against due to the level of permissions required for them to perform properly. Importantly, however, this will be an optional choice on community, single-player, and co-op servers.

As Pocketpair has already admitted, developing a PvP portion for is a complex endeavor that opens the door to a series of additional challenges that must be overcome. The hacking and cheating issue is just one of these problems in a long list of issues that may make PvP a nightmare to participate in and manage. Though official servers are limited to the Steam PC version of the game as of now, this should be an issue fixed before the rollout of official servers to Xbox owners.
