Palworld Update Finally Stops The Rich From Getting Richer

Though money isn't as impactful in as it might be in other games, having it isn't bad, as there are a host of things that can be purchased from Wandering Merchants and Black Marketeers around the map. This can quickly help fill a hole in production and provide the necessary materials required to reach the next tier of equipment one can unlock. People are introduced to the concept of money rather early in the game, with the Small Settlement outside the starting area serving as the first glimpse into NPC buying and selling in .

Though virtually all items can be sold at the merchants in the game, some items are certainly more valuable than others. What's surprising, however, is that one such item was an early-game material, and people in the community at one point considered it meta to sell this one item almost exclusively. That said, now that it's gone, a solid production line for 's most valuable items can still provide unlimited wealth.

An unlikely item was the most valuable or most profitable item in the game as a result of a bug in the game. Nails only require a single Ingot to produce, and each nail sold for 160 Gold at the time. This was in stark contrast to Ore (required to make Ingots), which only sold for 20 Gold per piece (they now sell for 5) as a point of reference. After Patch 0.1.5.0, nails only sell for 20 Gold each, which still makes them a pretty worthwhile item to sell, as the single Ingot required to make them creates two Nails at a time. Those who got in early, however, profited greatly from the bug.

Other items that sell for a lot of gold include Honey and Jam-Filled Buns, as the prerequisites for these items aren't much and can sell for a decent sum at the merchant. Many will find more profit in farming over production after the patch, though it's still a viable route and useful for the later game.

As merchants have an unlimited Gold supply, producing Nails and then selling them is still one of the most profitable thing one can do in passively.
