Concord will reportedly still get its Secret Level episode, which feels grimly fitting given how this past year has gone

Concord, Firewalk Studio's ill-fated live service shooter (which announced it was closing its doors less than a month after its release) will reportedly still get its episode of Prime Video's Secret Level—which, given theturbulence of the industry we've been reporting on this past year, seems grimly appropriate.

Arcane: Season 2 gets the mother of all trailers in the lead-up to its release in November—teases an explosive finale to the war between Piltover and Zaun

Arcane: Season 2 is fast-approaching after the first season basically took the world by storm in 2022. Having been an avid episode-by-episode watcher when it came out, it's been lauded for a lot of good reasons—drop-dead gorgeous animation, a tightly written script, a banger score, and an ability to successfully twist the knife into my heart. Now there's a new trailer, and hoo boy does it look like it's going to follow through on that stellar first swing.

Baldur's Gate 3 patch 7—the RPG's final major update—is here with an in-game mod browser, evil endings too vile for streaming, and new Honour Mode actions to be scared of

Baldur's Gate 3's seventh and final patch is finally here—and like most of these major updates, it's one heck of a doozy. Luckily for me and my poor, sore hands, there's not a ton of major new features to go over (though new modding tools should certainly open some floodgates in the future).

Deadlock's best girl is (judging by the fanart) a scrunkly gargoyle with a flat cap and severe back issues, who just so happens to be an absolute sweetheart

I will never cease to be amazed, impressed, and terrified by the kinds of unexpected hotties that come out of the gaming community—earlier this year it was Bakool Ja Ja in Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail, and now Deadlock's got its own fan favourite, the gargoyle Ivy.

'Worse than horse armour'—Age of Mythology: Retold is charging $6 for 22-year-old jpegs, giving the DLC 'very negative' Steam reviews before the game's even out

Age of Mythology: Retold, in case you're unfamiliar, is a sort-of remake of the classic 2002 strategy game that—as per our Age of Mythology: Retold review, which gave it a solid 75, «walks the tightrope of updating the bits that feel clunky by today’s standards without killing the sense of nostalgia.»

Risk of Rain 2's creators, along with 'many other' devs from Hopoo, have been snapped up by Valve—which means the end of the studio's unannounced game

Risk of Rain 2—and the series in general—has enjoyed plenty of success over the years. With the first game made by uni students Duncan Drummond and Paul Morse, and being somewhat of an indie smash hit, the second arrived in 2019 and also sold gangbusters, hitting 500,000 players in early access.

'I want to incorporate more changes, I don't want to take a conservative approach': Final Fantasy 14 game director Yoshi-P expresses a desire to shake things up in the future

Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail has arrived to a bit of a mixed reception, thanks to a middling story that has a few glaring flaws and—despite some excellent improvements when it comes to bosses and dungeons—a few persistent issues that, from what I've seen from more critical elements of the community, are frustrating because of how long they've been going on.
