Samsung To Reportedly Unveil Its Galaxy Ring At Its Second Unpacked Event, Upcoming Wearable May Arrive In Eight Different Sizes

The Galaxy Ring might officially take shape during the second half of 2024, assuming the latest report’s information turns out to be legit. Typically, Samsung hosts a second Galaxy Unpacked event in July or August, but the new rumor also says that the wearable will not just be unveiled early but also come in different sizes to accommodate a bigger customer base. In short, Samsung appears to be going ‘all in’ in this new category, with earlier reports stating that various health features will be integrated into this device to make it a more appealing purchase.

Currently, ETNews reports that the Galaxy Ring is in its prototype, but based on the latest information, the device should be ready to ship before Samsung’s second Unpacked announcement. Given that the wearable is incredibly small in size, it should not take sufficient time to design it, though we can assume that there will be a ton of work required regarding software. According to this report, Samsung’s upcoming offering should ship with a bevy of features.

In addition to blood flow measuring capabilities, the Galaxy Ring is rumored to ship with ECG monitoring, sleep tracking, and the ability to control other devices and make wireless payments remotely. Previously published information also stated that Samsung is working on an Apple Vision Pro competitor and that the Galaxy Ring could easily integrate with the unnamed AR headset, though we have yet to see what benefits that will provide.
