An Easily Missed Palworld Reality Is More Brutal Than Butchering

While most people who have played or even heard of 's less PG moments probably know it's possible to catch humans and even butcher cute Pal companions, there's another dark secret that lies inside the base mechanics in the world. In fact, there are a bunch of darker elements hidden under the bright and cute veneer of, including a tragic backstory for the game's first tower boss and disturbing theories about scientific experimentation.

One hidden feature doesn't rear its head unless in a pretty specific scenario that most probably won't find themselves in immediately. In, like other open-world survival games, it feels like a living, breathing environment. Though Pals typically follow pretty static behavior when loaded into the game world, sometimes unexpected things happen without any intervention from the main character.

Although there was a lot of controversy surrounding various aspects of the game, including the obvious connections to the franchise and putting Pals to work and butchering them, it seems that the Pals ultimately get the upper hand in certain cases. As posted by user vinayyy on Reddit, Pals will actually consume dead humans when they are killed in the game. This disturbing fact is only known to those waiting long enough after a combat encounter with the right Pals around to witness it.

Although the images depict the ape-like Goriat as the primary offender in this unsettling turn of events, as it turns out, much more innocuous-looking, cuter Pals also eat humans, including Cattiva and the community-favored Relaxaurus being two culprits. As it would seem currently, carnivorous variety pals are most likely to do this, though that distinction hasn't been totally made within the game mechanics thus far.

While this revelation would normally be pretty horrifying, there's a hidden warning at the beginning of that most players are likely to miss after being distracted by the cute Cattiva and Lamballs scooting around the starting sections of the game. The
