World of Warcraft Fans Discover Massive Dragonriding Mount Glitch

World of Warcraft players have discovered a hilarious glitch that lets fans make their Dragonriding mounts absolutely massive. The visual bug is easily-replicated, and can allow players to ride mounts the size of massive World of Warcraft dragons like Deathwing himself.

Right now, World of Warcraft is running an in-game event for Hearthstone’s 10-year anniversary. To prevent the event areas in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Valdrakken from getting overly crowded, the arenas are mount-restricted, meaning players are dismounted when they enter the area.

However, some clever World of Warcraft players have stumbled into a visual glitch involved with these mount-restricted areas. By entering the area and quickly mounting up on a Dragonriding mount, then leaving the arena and getting on a normal mount, their character instead jumps onto a version of the first mount, but dramatically increased in size. The growth varies depending on the two mounts used, but fans like Gigabear have found some combinations that allow them to make their World of Warcraft dragons nearly the size of Stormwind itself.

Some WoW Dragonriding mounts grow to larger sizes than others, with the Windbourne Velocidrake being the largest, and the Cliffside Wylderdrake being the smallest. Additionally, some regular mounts give bigger growth jumps than others, with insectoid mounts like the Royal Swarmer or Maldraxxian Corpsefly giving the largest. Some combinations even have the opposite effect, causing Dragonriding mounts to actually shrink in size. By using certain toys, consumables, and temporary mounts, players have created some truly impressive and comical sights. Regardless, the massive mount is just a visual glitch, as it uses the same speed and locomotion of the normal mount summoned in the process.

The bug itself is tied to the Hearthstone anniversary event in World of Warcraft, and doesn’t currently work in any other mount-restricted area, so players won’t have forever to ride these giant dragons.
