World of Warcraft Makes Big Improvement to Noblegarden Event

World of Warcraft just buffed the drop chance for the Noble Flying Carpet mount from the Noblegarden event. From now until the event ends on April 8, fans have a better chance of looting this rare World of Warcraft mount, with an even higher chance on the first kill of the day.

Noblegarden is the World of Warcraft equivalent to Easter. This year, World of Warcraft added some new rewards and activities to the event, including Daetan Swiftplume, a Druidic duck world boss that drops the Noble Flying Carpet, a charming mount coveted by collectors and fans of springtime alike. Unfortunately, the mount had a criminally low drop rate, with an estimated 1% chance of looting it from the Loot-Filled Basket awarded by completing the daily quest to defeat the boss.

However, World of Warcraft recently confirmed it was making the Noble Flying Carpet a little easier to obtain. In a forum post by WoW community manager Linxy, it announced a hotfix that increased the base drop rate of the Noble Flying Carpet, though it is unclear by how much. Additionally, the first time players defeat the boss each day on their account, the Loot-Filled Basket has an even higher chance to contain the mount.

While fans are glad to hear the drop rate of the Noble Flying Carpet increased, many are still frustrated by the mount in the first place. Having a rare World of Warcraft mount tied to a quest that can only be repeated once per character in an event that lasts for just one week has caused needless frustration for players who wish to collect all the new rewards, but suffer from poor luck.

Sadly, this year’s Noblegarden event has already had other problems as well. The Duck Disguiser, another toy added to Noblegarden this year, takes World of Warcraft fans six years to fully unlock, causing no small amount of disappointment. Hopefully, World of Warcraft can continue to make improvements to this event to alleviate player woes in the future.
