Scorched Sky is Back in EverQuest II, With New Quest, Items, and Double XP

It’s Scorched Sky time again in EverQuest II, and Daybreak has a few new features along with returning ones for this year’s event.

As in previous years, Fennin Ro and his son, Solusek Ro, are looking for adventurers to join them in celebrating the power of fire and flames. Join them (and perhaps become one of the Ro worshipers) in the event, where you must defeat fire elementals to earn some Coin of Ember. You will find these elementals where you can find the followers of Ro singing, dancing, and otherwise summoning them. 

The Scorched Sky Celebration’s arrival means we’re in the middle of Summer Jubilee. New this year, the full event is active on the Kael Drakkel, Varsoon, and Zarrakon Special Rules Servers. On the live servers, take on this year’s new event quest, “Thready for Anything” by grabbing it from Harland Brimpebble in Doomfire: Ro’s Sweatshop. The event also features several returning quests that you can repeat each year, as well as “Festive Fireworks” city quests that you can repeat during the event. There are 32 new items at the Ember Merchant to use your event currency on, as well as a series of returning items on the Ember Merchant Assistant. 

Also returning are the Doomfire: Ro’s Sweatshop level scaling dungeon. The dungeon will scale with level 130 characters, and there are new level 128+ items too. Overseer quests and Agents are also back, with a slate of activities to complete.

To go along with the event, which will run through July 11th, the EQ2 team has turned on a double XP bonus for members.
