Palworld's Huge Base Update Transforms The Game In One Major Way

update V02.0.6 is a huge update for the creature-collecting survival game, adding a host of new content, including the game's first major Raid Boss Bellanoir. Beyond this, V02.0.6 fundamentally changes how bases in the game work, incorporating more base management simulation mechanics than one would think from a creature-collecting action title.

Although hasn't seen the frequency of updates as other early access titles that maintain such a high level of popularity, this new patch adds a lot of new content to the game making it feel worth the wait. For those who enjoy the craft of construction, these highly-requested QoL features that just released will be a huge boon to the level of creativity one can employ at their base.

The Update v0.2.0.6 added a ton of content, and much of it involves optimizations to bases in the game. In addition to adding more functionality to the Monitoring Stand so that people can assign specific Pals to specific workbenches, the new update introduces the Ore Mining Site and Ore Mining Site II, which enables people to construct Ore nodes anywhere within the radius of their base. Similar to a Stone Pit, this prevents people from having to build around specific resource nodes and provides a lot more flexibility when it comes to base placement on the map.

The Ore Mining Site is a Tier 16 Ancient Technology and costs 2 Ancient Technology Points and requires 50 Stone, 25 Ingots, and 20 Paldium Fragments to construct. Predictably, Ore Mining Site II is the upgraded and improved version of the new building and costs 100 Stone, 50 Ingots, and 40 Paldium Fragments to construct.

Both mining sites can have three Pals working at the workstation at any given time.

The new building enables people to mine Ore, a critical resource used in many items, weapons, and armor. Previously, players were forced to find specific Ore nodes and construct a base near them in order to gather critical resources. Now, it'll be possible to generate this resource
