Fallout 4’s Free Next-Gen Update Fixes One Major Omission

After close to a decade since its launch, is receiving a free next-gen-only update to fix a major story omission. Due to the release of the Show, it was announced that would be receiving an update to help scale up its performance to go along with new cosmetics and weapons. Though an update now seems odd, the massive success of the franchise's first live-action show made it a smart decision. Every game has seen significant increases in sales and player base since the show's release.

A new quest dubbed «Echoes of the Past» will task players with preventing the Enclave from establishing a base and support in the northeast. It is unknown how long this quest will be and if it will have any long-form impact on the game. Regardless, it is a nice inclusion to a game that felt somewhat disconnected from the rest of the franchise.
