Overwatch 2 Teases New Maps and Big Changes to Existing Ones

Blizzard has teased the introduction of new maps to Overwatch 2 along with changes for existing ones. When Overwatch 2 launched, it introduced the new Push game mode, complete with its own maps. Plenty more new maps have been added to the game since launch.

Just as Push featured its own maps, Overwatch 2's latest new game mode, the somewhat divisive Flashpoint, came with two maps of its own: New Junk City and Suravasa. As a live-service game, it's necessary for Overwatch 2 to add new content on a regular basis, which means that plenty more maps are in the pipeline for the hero shooter. And now Blizzard has given fans a better idea of what to expect from the game's future battlegrounds.

Blizzard confirmed that the new game mode Clash will get a limited-time trial at the start of Overwatch 2 Season 10, with players having the chance to play on the Hanaoka map. In Season 11, Overwatch 2 players can look forward to the introduction of Runasapi, a brand-new Push map set in Peru, with ties to Support hero Illari. Season 11 will also see a reworked Colosseo, so Push fans have a lot to look forward to come Season 11.

Not only are new maps coming to Overwatch 2, but Blizzard is actively working on «significant updates» for some of the game's existing maps. Blizzard acknowledged that it has heard fan feedback regarding a handful of Overwatch 2 maps, and so changes are on the way for Dorado, Circuit Royale, Havana, and Numbani. More details on exactly what's changing with these maps should come at a later date, so Overwatch 2 fans should keep their eyes peeled for more information.

With new heroes, the new Clash game mode, and new maps all in the works, there's a lot to be excited about when it comes to Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 is Blizzard's free-to-play team-based first-person shooter. The title features some new heroes like Junker Queen and Sojourn, as well as returning favorites.
