Nintendo Switch Gets Brand-New Console Update

Nintendo has released a brand-new update for its Switch console that users can download right now. Nintendo has released numerous updates for the Switch since launching the console in 2016. These updates have ranged in scope. Sometimes the Switch console updates are pretty basic and only get vague patch notes, but other times they add notable new features for users to check out.

Nintendo has not announced the Switch 2 yet, but many are anticipating the reveal to take place at some point within the next six months in anticipation of a 2025 release.

Nintendo is known for supporting its platforms years after their release, though it's also known for eventually shutting them down, as is the case with the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Still,
