New Prince of Persia Game Release Date Leaks

Another Prince of Persia game will hit the market on May 14 following a mid-April announcement, a prominent industry insider has claimed. Much like the recently released PoP: The Lost Crown, the upcoming title is said to be a spin-off instead of a new mainline entry in the Prince of Persia franchise.

The first indication of the game's existence emerged online just recently, via an early April report from Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson. Henderson reported that the title in question is a rougelite helmed by Evil Empire, a French developer best known as the warden of Dead Cells, for which it created a plethora of post-launch content since 2019. Henderson also claimed that the game will be called The Rogue Prince of Persia.

The insider has now taken to social media to share some additional availability details about the project, stating that The Rogue Prince of Persia will be officially revealed on Wednesday, April 10. Its art direction is said to be heavily influenced by bandes dessinées, also known as Franco-Belgian comics. Similar to Dead Cells, The Rogue Prince of Persia is expected to receive a lot of post-launch support, though it is unclear how much of its DLC will be sold as opposed to given
