The Rogue Prince of Persia Offers Players a Chance to Play The Game Early

Evil Empire is giving some fans a chance to play The Rogue Prince of Persia early. The studio's offer arrives in the form of a newly announced The Rogue Prince of Persia closed alpha test.

The existence of the upcoming Prince of Persia spin-off was originally leaked in early April. True to that initial report, the Evil Empire-developed game ended up being announced on April 10 with a May 14 release date. The French studio is planning to debut The Rogue Prince of Persia as a Steam Early Access title. The roguelite's console versions are yet to be officially confirmed.

In the meantime, Evil Empire has announced a closed alpha test that fans can sign up for via the game's official website. The studio did not elaborate on when exactly the test is planned to kick off, but with The Rogue Prince of Persia's release date being just a month away, the wait for the alpha to commence ostensibly won't be too long. That notwithstanding, the roguelite's core gameplay loop is far from a mystery, not least because Evil Empire and Ubisoft have already offered members of the press a chance to preview The Rogue Prince of Persia ahead of its announcement. It's hence confirmed that the game will play kind of like another Dead Cells, boasting non-linear levels and story progression.
