Palworld Update 'Fixes' Butchering Glitch

The newest update to Palworld addresses a major glitch players have been exploiting within the game, allowing players to repeatedly butcher the same Pal for more rewards. Throughout the sprawling open world of the monster-catching survival game, there are a variety of in-game resources for fans to acquire for their in-game base. The game's expansive crafting system allows players to create plenty of helpful in-game resources, ranging from Palworld's Pal Spheres to new weapons and tools. Now, the game is addressing a major bug revolving around farming its rarest items.

Acquiring legendary schematics within Palworld gives players the chance to craft some of the most powerful items in the game. Players are normally only able to find legendary schematics through a rare drop in chests or by defeating rare Pals within the game. Players can also acquire legendary schematics by butchering their own Pals to acquire their resources, with Lucky and Alpha Pals offering greater chances to find the rare loot. Now, a common exploit for farming legendary schematics has been patched out with Palworld's newest update.

The newest update to Palworld has reportedly addressed a major bug players have been exploiting to farm legendary schematics. The bug previously saw players able to cancel the animation for butchering a Pal by quickly mounting the Pal afterward, allowing players to repeatedly acquire resources from the Pal. Many players used the exploit as a way to effectively farm for legendary schematics, butchering and mounting the Pals for their rare drops. The post does point out that players are still able to butcher their Alpha Pals a second time for more loot.

The glitch's removal saw mixed reactions from fans who had used the exploit themselves and those who had not.
