GTA 5's Protagonists Wreak Havoc Across GTA 6's Vice City In New Trailer

's first trailer broke records upon its release, becoming the most-watched non-music YouTube video in under 24 hours as it officially introduced players to a modern Vice City and its new protagonist duo, Lucia and an unnamed man rumored to be called Jason. One talented fan has imagined what would happen if the protagonists of the last game in the series,, decided to crash the party and wreak havoc across Leonida instead.

Youtuber JANTSUU's trailer plays out much like the reveal trailer in terms of its structure, with many of its locations and more memorable ""-esque NPCs returning.

The main difference is that instead of Lucia being interviewed by her parole officer in prison, it's 's Michael De Santa, who after a montage of throwing people off of balconies, firing rockets from yachts, and tackling naked gardeners, blames his antics on the weather in a callback to 's trailer. Michael is soon joined by 's other protagonists, Trevor and Franklin, who fly over to Vice City to help him out after seeing his antics on the news.

While the crime-sim series is full of iconic and memorable faces, it's the best GTA protagonists who have ultimately made it what it is today.

While JANTSUU's trailer was clearly intended as a parody of 's and a fun "" scenario, it does pose the question of whether Rockstar will have any cameos from its other characters in its upcoming game. The PS2 and Xbox era's "" of , and had some crossovers with its characters across the different games. These were also told out of order with the first, with being set in the 2000s, then being set in the 80s, and finally, in the 90s, letting players run into characters they may have seen die in a previous entry, or setting up events they'd already seen the outcome to.

While Rockstar's "" era of has had fewer moments like this, there has still been the occasional character appearance to tie and together. For instance, 's Johnny Klebitz — a member of The Lost Motorcycle Club who was also the main protagonist
