Star Wars Galaxies: Legends Shows Off Upcoming 'Deep Space Comms' Update in New Trailer

The Star Wars Galaxies: Legends team shared plans to expand the content and rewards of the game’s space offering with a new trailer showing off the upcoming ‘Deep Space Comms’ update.

Deep Space Comms will add control beacons to SWGL’s space sectors that players can capture and control via player-vs-player combat. Controlling these beacons will allow players to earn new Space PVP Tokens that can be redeemed for a variety of rewards at their respective vendors.

The update will also add three new ships, one for each pilot tree, in the V-19 Torrent, TIE Brute, and VCX-Auxiliary Shuttle.

The V-19 Torrent was a starfighter used by the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars and made many appearances during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

The VCX-Auxiliary Shuttle was a Corellian Engineering Corporation short-range starfighter most recognizable for its frequent appearances on the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

The TIE Brute otherwise known as the TIE/rb heavy starfighter was heavier armed and armored than a standard TIE Fighter. It was seen in the anthology film Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The Legends team hasn’t revealed any release dates for the Deep Space Comms update, but we do know it’s “coming soon.”
