10 Best Stardew Valley 1.6 Changes To Check Out Immediately

The incredibly popular farming simulator, , continues to evolve, receiving yet another massive update in patch 1.6. As of the time of writing, the update is currently only available for PC versions of the game, but console and mobile editions will be receiving the update in the near future. Many improvements were made to common quality-of-life issues, as well as all new content being added to the game in the form of new festivals, dialogue options, and some surprises left noticeably vague in the patch notes.

Many of the biggest items in 's patch 1.6 include large-scale changes, such as new questlines and environmental events. Yet, in early hints about the contents of the update, the one that seemed to draw the most attention was an unlikely note. A line from the patch notes very simply states "," leading many on the internet to call patch 1.6 «The Mayo Patch,» although there are many other notable reasons to play again with these updates.

Upgrading the house in is a big part of making things feel cozy and personalized, and now patch 1.6 is giving four new home renovations for farmers to save up for. The farmhouse can now have upgrades made to the dining room, attic, expanded corner room, and cubby. To help decorate these areas, there are also 280 new furniture items, 41 new floor styles, 24 new wallpapers, and more. With all of these options, it will be even more fun and engaging to create the perfect virtual home.

Up until patch 1.6, villagers in wore the same clothes regardless of season, but now they get new outfits specifically for the colder weather. During snowy seasons, the NPCs will undergo a cosmetic change to wear warmer clothing, which will help with the immersion of the game, and just add a fun bit of fresh looks. Additionally, over 100 new dialogue lines are being added, including reactions to gifts or things happening, a custom flower dance acceptance, and many more interactions.
