Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Builds Fast Train With Mounted Lasers

Players can build virtually anything in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and one such inventor recently pieced together an incredibly fast mini-train with powerful mounted laser cannons to zap away enemies. One of the defining features of Tears of the Kingdom is its surprisingly in-depth weapon and vehicle crafting mechanics, which allow Link to fuse raw materials and ancient Zonai technology using his new Ultrahand abilities.

Unsurprisingly, Tears of the Kingdom players have used this creation suite to flex their creative muscles, forging all manner of helpful vehicles and sharing them on social media for fellow fans to admire. From simple hover-propulsion fishing boats to more complex two-in-one land rovers modeled after Batman’s Tumbler vehicle from The Dark Knight, there has been no shortage of creative inventions to help Link either complete his latest quest to defend the land of Hyrule from Ganondorf or simply roam Tears of the Kingdom’s vast open world in search of the next sidequest or hidden item.

Reddit user Scared_Cry_4931 has shared plenty of fun custom-made vehicles on r/HyruleEngineering, a subreddit devoted to showing off the many different things players can build inTears of the Kingdom. A video clip of their latest invention was posted recently, showing a train-like motorcycle vehicle that they are tentatively calling the “spirit bike.” It features a pair of mounted laser beams that automatically fire on any enemy or destructible object in their path.

Throughout the comment section of Scared_Cry_4931’s recent Reddit post, other users have complimented their creative train vehicle, suggested new names for it, and even compared it to Link’s Spirit Train from the 2009 Nintendo DS spin-off The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
