Xbox Insiders Have New Console Update to Test

Xbox has rolled out a new console update to Alpha testers, bringing experience changes and fixes aimed at enhancing system stability and performance. Enthusiasts participating in the Xbox Insider Program have the chance to test this latest Xbox console update.

Xbox comprises a range of gaming consoles, software, and services tailored for gaming experiences. From its inception in 2001 to the latest iterations like the Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox has continually pushed the boundaries of gaming technology. With features such as Xbox Live, players can participate in multiplayer gaming and access a vast library of digital content. Additionally, the Xbox Game Pass offers a wide range of titles for players to enjoy. The Xbox ecosystem also thrives on exclusive titles and partnerships, cementing its status as a major player in the gaming industry.

As announced on the Xbox Wire, the latest update was rolled out to Xbox Insider Program members at 2 p.m. PT on March 11, with a mandatory installation scheduled for 3 a.m. PT on March 12. This update brings several experience changes aimed at enhancing user interaction. Previous Xbox updates have tackled a range of issues, yet the Xbox community has highlighted several more, which are being addressed in this latest update.

One notable change is the removal of first-party hub apps, including Copilot Chat, Outlook, Teams, and Games, from the Microsoft Edge sidebar to improve stability. Despite these removals, essential features like shopping and browsing remain intact. Moreover, the update includes fixes across different areas of the console. Accessibility improvements have been implemented to enhance narrator readout in the guide, especially when viewing friends and managing friendships. Issues related to Capture & Share functionalities and Network Transfer have also been addressed, ensuring a smoother user experience.

Despite these enhancements, Xbox engineers remain vigilant in addressing known issues reported by the community.
