Warcraft Rumble Introduces Iconic Warcraft 3 Unit for Season 4

Warcraft Rumble just revealed the Witch Doctor is making his way to the game in Season 4. This iconic unit from Warcraft 3 will be available in Warcraft Rumble when the next season starts on March 6, rather than the Faerie Dragon most players were expecting.

So far, each season in Warcraft Rumble has introduced a new mini to the game. Seasons 1 and 3 rounded out the available Undead and Blackrock heroes in Warcraft Rumble with Sylvanas and Emperor Thaurissan respectively, and Season 2 added the Chimaera, a new flying Beast troop.

With Season 4 coming next week, Warcraft Rumble has officially revealed the new mini that players can add to their collections soon. The Witch Doctor is joining the Horde, bringing another reference from Warcraft 3 to Warcraft Rumble. The statistics and abilities for this troop are currently unknown, but fans can expect to learn the specifics in the week leading up to the start of Season 4 on March 6. From the teaser Warcraft Rumble gave, however, players can surmise he may grant allies Bloodlust, curse his enemies, and cause explosions.

Warcraft fans will recognize the Witch Doctor from his original appearance in Warcraft 3, where the spellcasting Horde unit placed wards that could scout, heal allies, or trap enemies. Interestingly enough, Warcraft Rumble had originally stated the Faerie Dragon – another iconic Warcraft 3 unit – was coming in Season 4, but the tricksy troop has seemingly been delayed until a future update.

Like previous seasons, the Witch Doctor will likely be unlocked via Warcraft Rumble guild rewards, or by obtaining a high ranking in PvP. The former method is much easier, as it also allows fans to unlock gold and free XP tomes. Either way, players can expect the Witch Doctor to come as an Uncommon mini right away, allowing them to quickly purchase his yet-unrevealed talents. Fans who miss getting the Witch Doctor in Season 4 will be able to purchase him from the Warcraft Rumble G.R.I.D. starting in Season 5.
