The Callisto Protocol Dev Striking Distance Studios Working on a “Brand New Unannounced Unreal Engine 5 Title”

The developer behind The Callisto Protocol, Striking Distance Studios, is currently hiring for a new unannounced game running in Unreal Engine 5.

Back in August of last year, we reported that the KRAFTON-owned studio was hit by layoffs. Apparently, these layoffs impacted 32 employees following "implemented strategic changes that realign the studio’s priorities to better position its current and future projects for success." Despite these layoffs, "new projects" were mentioned by KRAFTON. Shortly after this report, Striking Distance Studios founder Glen Schofield would be leaving the studio following disappointing results of The Callisto Protocol.

Fast forward four months and we might now have more information about Striking Distance Studios' new game, albeit it's not much to go by. According to a new job listing (via MauroNL) for a Lead Gameplay Animator, the studio is working on a "brand new, unannounced UE5 title" with the studio aiming to "create the most dynamic and engaging player and enemy experiences". The job listing doesn't provide additional details, but we're pretty sure that fans will appreciate this bit of information. We've included a screenshot of the job listing below in case it gets removed:

The Callisto Protocol was released back in December of 2022. Here's what we wrote about the survival horror title in our launch review:
