Suicide Squad Game's Harley Quinn Is In The Worst Kind Of Danger

Rocksteady has revealed 's first post-launch playable character, and his inclusion may not look great for Harley Quinn. It had long been confirmed that the studio would be adding free post-launch content to the game with new storylines, environments, and characters, but it wasn't clear how these would play into the game's main campaign, considering its titular premise and the finality that comes with killing the Justice League.

[Warning: This article may contain spoilers for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League]'s story will continue due to Brainiac's exploration of the multiverse, with each post-launch chapter covering a new "". As explained by actor Jason Issacs, Brainiac's core motivation is to rebuild the advanced civilization he has lost, and so he attempts this by experimenting with DC characters' DNA to open paths to different universes and allow variants of particular characters to be pulled into the Arkhamverse.

The first character to be brought in from an Elseworld is Joker. Joker appeared in every previous game, but died in the series' second entry Joker's blood was poisoned after he injected himself with a modified version of Bane's Venom serum called Titan in the finale of, turning him into a giant hulking monster.

While Batman seemingly defeated him and returned him to normal after a boss battle, this proved not to be the case as the side effects slowly killed Joker throughout. While Batman found a cure for his nemesis, Joker's desperation was his hubris, and when he attacked Batman, he inadvertently led to the cure's destruction.

The new, younger version of Joker who appears in is different from the Arkhamverse's, and comes from a universe where he is part of the Suicide Squad. This immediately makes him more cooperative to fit him into the game's team-based dynamic, although the episode that revealed the game's take on the character — which can be found on Warner Bros.
