Today a new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns trailer was released by Warner Bros. Games, using the trailer to showcase Noob Saibot's gameplay, as he is one of the six new playable characters joining the game via the expansion. The trailer gives players an in-depth look at his abilities and moveset, as well as the story that will coincide with his appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 and the re-imagined universe of the game.

Despite the irrefutable fact that nearly every parent is going to be dragged to see it by their hyperactive spawn, filling up Warner Bros' coffers until they overflow, A Minecraft Movie looks… not quite right. And not just because Jason Momoa looks like he's coming down from a week-long bender where he robbed Dora the Explorer.
After playing some of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, my immediate reaction is that this feels like a trial run for the magical game's inclusion in the likely-upcoming sequel to Hogwarts Legacy. Sure, it probably didn't start out that way, with my money being on Warner Bros. Games separating out the experiences so they could sell two games to Harry Potter fans instead of just one. Because, you know, money. But following Hogwarts Legacy becoming the best selling game of 2023, I'm not sure a sequel can exist without the inclusion of Quidditch. Their union feels inevitable, as Quidditch would be such an obvious upsell for gamers.
At the start of 2024, Warner Bros. went on its own little victory lap over the success of Hogwarts Legacy. WB Interactive Entertainment president David Hassad announced in early January the game had sold over 22 million copies in 2023, more than 2 million of those in the festive period, boasting that this made it «the best-selling game of the year in the entire industry worldwide.»
Warner Bros Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels briefly discussed Hogwarts Legacy 2 during Bank of America's 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference. Wiedenfels highlighted the importance of this sequel for the gaming division and provided a loose timeframe of a couple of years. Here's the exact quote as reported by Variety:
Today, Warner Bros. Games released a brand-new trailer for the Khaos Reigns update for Mortal Kombat 1, which showcases Sektor, one of the upcoming fighters.
