Stardew Valley Dev Has a Message for the Community Ahead of Update 1.6 Launch

Stardew Valley’s creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has recently revealed that many of the game’s mods have been updated for 1.6 and that the new update will be out during the day. The Stardew Valley community has been eagerly awaiting Update 1.6, and it seems that they will have the opportunity to try it out with mods.

Released back in 2016, Stardew Valley quickly became a huge hit, selling over 20 million copies. The unexpected success of the indie game was mostly due to how Stardew Valley united a cozy experience, charismatic characters, and a solid gameplay farming loop, which puts it among the best farming simulators.

Now, the game’s creator, ConcernedApe, has talked about Stardew Valley’s Update 1.6, which will be out on March 19. ConcernedApe revealed that there are already many mods that have been converted to work for the 1.6 version of the game right now, and that gamers who want to use old mods may also stay on version 1.5.6 if they want. The new Update 1.6 is bringing several important changes to Stardew Valley. For instance, Stardew Valley will gain a new farm type with the update, the Meadowlands Farm. This new type of farm will allow some gamers to prioritize certain builds, as they will have a bigger focus on some kinds of crops and will initially come with two chickens and a starter coop.

Another important change coming is that Stardew Valley will have a honeymoon period after Update 1.6. With this new update, the spouses of players will not complain about their happiness for at least seven days after the marriage. Before now, there was a chance that the partners would simply not help on the farm, staying in bed instead when some of the requirements for their happiness were not met by the player.

A few days ago, Barone shared the plans for afterStardew Valley’s
