Stardew Valley Cookbook Reveals The Hidden Reason Pierre's Shop Is Closed On Wednesdays

The obvious choice for most players picking up is to side against the evil JojaMart and shop local, picking up their seeds from Pierre’s General Store. The local shop is closer to the farm, offers bag upgrades – and is also closed on Wednesdays. This is probably the second most inconvenient schedule in the game (behind Marnie’s inconsistent and unpredictable hours at her shop), but it seems there is finally an answer as to why Pierre’s shop takes a mid-week break.

In the, which shares recipes for almost every recipe in the game, a little popup from Caroline shares the reason for the annoying schedule. Reddit user anothertrainreckbard shared a photo from the cookbook in which Caroline explains that her love of fish tacos is the reason for the shop being closed on Wednesdays.
