One New Stardew Valley 1.6 Item Is The Creepiest Thing In The Whole Game

Of all of the new items added to as part of the 1.6 update, this item has to be one of the creepiest. ConcernedApe added a slew of helpful and interesting items to the game, including the long-requested mannequin. The item acts as a way for players to display the clothing they’re not wearing as though it's their own personal storefront.

But alongside the mannequin, ConcernedApe also added a cursed mannequin. This item is much rarer than its dormant counterpart and twice as terrifying, as players post photos and videos of it blinking, vibrating, and standing over their beds in the morning. Despite the name implying its poltergeist-like shenanigans, spooked players quickly sought its exorcism — while horror lovers moved to add it to their abodes.

Newly added in Stardew Valley 1.6, Mannequins give players a fun way to store and display clothing. However, they must be bought rather than crafted.

The Cursed Mannequin is a separate item than the regular mannequin, with the only visible difference between the two being its coloring. The regular mannequins are an off-white color, while the cursed mannequin has a purple-gray tinge to its body. Unlike regular mannequins, which can be purchased from Sandy’s shop in the Oasis, cursed mannequins are only dropped by haunted skulls.

These flying foes will attack a player exploring either the mines in the Mountain or in the Quarry Mine. It's currently not locked to a specific number of floors. Its flight pattern is similar to the Serpents and Bats, either attacking the player when approached or screeching before flying from out of the frame. Both the male and female versions of the cursed mannequin have less than half a percent chance of dropping, making it a particularly rare (if unsettling) item.
