Pokemon Fan Designs Paradox Forms for Alolan Starter Evolutions

A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan created Paradox forms for the Alolan starters' evolutions. Paradox Pokemon, which are future and prehistoric versions of the pocket monsters, were introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Since then, many fans have been inspired to create alternate versions of their favorite Pokemon.

Inspired by Hawaii and its major islands, the Alola region is home to Gen 7 Pokemon, including the starters Rowlet (Grass), Litten (Fire), and Popplio (Water). Fans of the franchise experienced this region in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, where they battled the Captains of each Alolan island. Just like other starter Pokemon, many players have grown fond of the Gen 7 starters to the point of creating fan art of them.

With the introduction of Paradox forms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Reddit user Mindrawz created ancient versions of the Gen 7 starters, namely Blazing Roar, Lethal Feather, and Charming Song. Each of them was inspired by the final forms of the Gen 7 Pokemon: Incineroar, Decidueye, and Primarina. The artist also took it a step further and created shiny versions for the Paradox Pokemon as well.

The artist clearly took inspiration from prehistoric and mythical animals to create the Paradox Alolan starters. Blazing Roar's features look similar to a sabretooth tiger, but with flaming paws. Lethal Feather looks like a cross between a griffin and an owlbear from Baldur's Gate 3. Lastly, Charming Song ditches Primarina's mermaid-like features for fairy wings.

In the comments, many Pokemon fans praised Mindrawz's work, noting that their reimagining of the Alolan starters' ancient forms looks spot on. One fan also suggested that they see Blazing Roar as a Fire/Steel type, Lethal Feather as Grass/Flying, and Charming Song as Flying/Fairy. Previously, the artist created Paradox versions of the Unova Pokemon starters, which also took inspiration from prehistoric species.
