One The First Descendant Boss Is Demolishing Players, But This Weapon Makes It So Much Easier

A particular boss in poses a massive challenge, but can be defeated easily with the right weapon. As a looter-shooter game, 's players live or die by their equipment. But it's not just the typical weapons and armor that make a difference: 's modules, effectively buffing accessories with a strictly limited capacity, can greatly alter the utility of a character's build.

Still, even with the right modules equipped, many players are finding 's Hanged Man boss nigh impossible. It's a mechanic-heavy fight to begin with: during the fight, four tanks atop an altar will fill with fuel in the center of the arena. When they're all full, it'll explode, quite likely causing a full party wipe. The trick is to send the fastest character in, and have them pick up the cube on the altar before it's too late. This can be confusing, since many players never even notice the tanks filling up, and the necessity of grabbing the cube is never explained. But even knowing all that, the fight is tough: running in causes to spread electric AoEs throughout the arena, which can easily wipe out the runner and make them drop the cube.

The First Descendant is getting its first new characters soon, and an official date has finally been revealed without a big announcement to herald it.

As detailed in a video by Grind Hard Squad, a rare weapon called the Tamer is key to defeating the Hanged Man boss quickly and handily. That's mainly because of its shockingly high rate of fire: 624 at level one. With the Tamer in hand, alongside the right Descendant and Modules, players can easily propel their DPS into the tens of thousands.

Ideally, this mission can be planned ahead with a full team of four: three of them should have Tamers and Scout Rifles equipped, and the fourth should play as a fast Descendant like Bunny or Viessa.
