With its emphasis on explosive cooperative play and tongue-in-cheek humor satirizing the industrial military complex, proved to be a massive success for Arrowhead Studios and PlayStation, especially given that it launched on PS5 and PC simultaneously. Despite some questionable balance issues and Sony's major PSN blunder, the shooter is still one of the most played on Steam and PlayStation.
