No Man's Sky Aquarius Update Adds Fishing to the Game

It’s been just over a month since Hello Games dropped its massive Worlds Part 1 update for No Man’s Sky, and now the team is back with another new update for the game. Titled Aquarius, the free game update adds fishing and a number of related features to No Man’s Sky.

Players can now fish across the game’s innumerable planets, collecting rare fish as they go. Fishing can be done from shore or even on the water using the newly added Exo-Skiff, a deployable fishing platform fitted with cold storage to house all the exciting catches. There’s also a new deep sea diving suit that will allow players to weather the harshest conditions beneath the waves.

Collecting unique fish will progress the player’s fishing log and with different fish available in each environment type and water condition, there will be lots of exploring and fishing to be done to complete the log. Players may even find a message in a bottle or two.

For those looking to take a much more efficient approach, automated fish traps are available for players looking to build their own floating fish farms.

Lastly, the Aquarius Expedition is now live and will be available for around six weeks according to Hello Games. Players who finish the Expedition will earn a set of deep sea themed customization parts and even an underwater jetpack.
