Incredible Star Wars Outlaws Mod Makes The Game More Immersive Than Ever Before

already goes out of its way to provide players with an immersive adventure in a galaxy far, far away but this mod will make the experience even better for those with a VR headset. Ubisoft's popular open-world game has taken the community by storm as players spend hours hunting across the various worlds and cities for unique encounters and fun collectibles. The life of a space-faring scoundrel has never been closer, but one talented modder begged to ask the question of whether it could be even more realistic.

Per Eurogamer, modder Luke Ross created a REAL VR mod for that allows players to literally see through Kay's eyes. The video of the mod showcases how players can easily navigate and look around the various environments while the game seamlessly transitions to a third-person perspective when executing various animations both in and out of combat. The REAL VR mod is so lovingly made that the actual gameplay fits right in with the new perspective, providing fans with a chance to get up close and personal with The Empire.

As demonstrated by Eurogamer's Ian Higton in a demonstration, the REAL VR mod is fantastic at capturing on-foot exploration but it does struggle to keep up with anything faster. A particularly memorable moment sees Higton jetting off on Kay's speeder only to have the camera display an awkward hollow cut out of the character's face that looks a great deal like the infamous bug. Having said that, it's still very playable and Ross will likely work on fixing the feature in an update.

While some may think that the lack of motion controls may lessen the experience, Higton's VR playthrough with a controller still worked incredibly well. It may make the game feel less tangible but that's a small trade-off to ensure that it's still seamless in its execution.
