New Titanic Game Combines Two James Cameron Movie Ideas Into One

A new VR title, has a unique premise that is set to cross over two unexpected James Cameron movie ideas. As its name implies, the horror thriller title will take place on the RMS Titanic and let players experience the horrors involved with the Titanic's tragic real-world sinking first-hand.

According to a press release by developer Globiss Interactive, aims to recreate the Titanic with a high level of accuracy and detail through top-tier graphics that utilize realistic lighting and water systems. To add to the immersion, the game matches the timing, location, and intensity of the sinking, based on the latest historical data available. The harrowing, yet impressive result can be seen in the latest trailer on Globiss Interactive's YouTube channel.

As well as the horror elements that would naturally be present when depicting a real-life tragedy such as the sinking of the Titanic, has a time-travel spin as one of the game's protagonists, Hendrik van Eden, is sent back to the Titanic to uncover the mysterious disappearance of a previous traveler, Diana. As a result, Globiss Interactive's title is set to combine ideas seen in both James Cameron's movie depiction of the Titanic and his sci-fi, time-traveling series to make for a unique experience.

Well-known areas of the Titanic that were depicted with incredible accuracy in some of Cameron's film's most memorable scenes, such as the Grand Staircase, the boiler rooms, and the third-class accommodations will be explorable in .

Throughout 's story, players will need to work their way through the ship, deck by deck, as water fills up the hallways and cabins to make for an increasingly claustrophobic experience, all while trying to uncover a multi-layered mystery. Along the way, they will have to solve various puzzles that utilize the environment and its physics system all while racing against time in a bid to escape.
