More Resident Evil games are coming to iPhone, iPad and Mac

Capcom has announced plans to release another two Resident Evil games for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Following in the footsteps of Resident Evil 4 earlier this year, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be available via the App Store from July 2, 2024, for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later.

Resident Evil 2 is also currently in development for the same platforms, although a release window hasn’t been confirmed.

Both games will offer universal purchase and cross progression across Apple devices, and players will be able to sample a portion of each title at release via a free download.

Capcom said the iPhone and iPad versions of Resident Evil 7 will include a new auto fire feature, offering players “an approachable option to automatically fire weapons after aiming at enemies for a set period of time”.

Compatible Bluetooth controllers are also supported for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, “offering an experience mirroring home consoles”.

Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Mirage for iPhone and iPad earlier this week.
