Minecraft Player Shares Useful Bubble Trick

A Minecraft player has pointed out that bubbles can be used to jump up to four blocks with a Boat. Minecraft Boats are typically used to cross the vast distances of oceans and rivers, but this trick can enable players to climb to great heights as well.

Players have been using Minecraft Boats to traverse large bodies of water since the game was released. Boats change appearance depending on which type of wood players use to make one, offering gamers the ability to identify which Boat is theirs when playing with others. There are also Chest Boats that allow players to easily move resources from one point of the world to another. Bubbles are typically used to breathe underwater or can be matched with a water column to enable players to climb straight up. One gamer has discovered a useful bubble trick for boat traversal.

Reddit user DjensMens recently shared a clip highlighting a helpful Minecraft bubble mechanic. The video begins with the player facing a long stretch of bubbly water that they drop a Cherry Boat into, which starts thrashing around in the water. As the gamer walks to another water station, this Boat begins levitating like a Minecraft water elevator. A second Boat is then placed in a small pool, and it floats upward by three blocks, while a third Boat can reach four blocks high in the next pool. The gamer then shows that this bubbly water can be used to rise three blocks, with their final demonstration showing how a staircase design allows them to climb as high as they wish.

Although this player has surrounded their test area with Minecraft Concrete of different colors, any type of solid block will hold the water. They have also used signs to contain water, which can be done by quickly replacing other blocks before water can flow out. Soul Sand is placed under each water block to make it bubble and create the lift effect. The final pool has Ice Blocks at the beginning and end to show that the water can easily move players from one sheet of ice to another.
