Mass Effect Legendary Edition Community Patch 1.6 Introduces Huge Number of Quality-of-Life Improvements

A new version of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition Community Patch is now available for download, introducing a huge number of quality-of-life improvements for the first entry in the series.

Patch 1.6 improves the latest version of the first entry in the series by introducing a ton of fixes for visual and gameplay issues, such as a fix for clipping issues between Male Shepeard's visor and breather, the Master Overkill talent, some NPC lines, quest bugs and more. The full changelog can be found here alongside the patch's download.

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes all of the single-player content of the first three entries in the series, as well as over 40 DLC across all titles to provide the ultimate Mass Effect experience. All three games' visuals have also been improved with enhanced models, shaders, FX, lighting, and more.

The release of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition attempted to recover the reputation of the BioWare series, which sunk low with the release of Mass Effect Andromeda. While not a bad game, it left a lot to be desired as the long-anticipated fourth entry in the franchise, as I highlighted in my review.

Mass Effect Andromeda could have been one of the best RPGs ever, but sadly the game never realizes its full potential. While the gameplay experience and RPG mechanics are mostly well done, with the best combat system of the entire series, the predictable story, uninteresting characters, and generally mediocre writing make the Pathfinder's quest to find a new home for humanity not as memorable as it could have been.
