Gray Zone Warfare to Support NVIDIA DLSS 3 and Ray Traced Enhanced Lumen

Today, NVIDIA announced that the upcoming tactical first-person shooter game Gray Zone Warfare will support DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) from day one, accelerating performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards. As with any game with built-in DLSS 3 support, Gray Zone Warfare will also feature Reflex, which any owner of GeForce GTX 900 Series GPUs and newer will be able to activate for up to 50% reduction in system latency. Last but not least, the Unreal Engine 5 powered game will support the hardware accelerated ray-traced version of Lumen lighting to deliver cutting-edge visuals.

Gray Zone Warfare is the first true PC game developed by Czech studio Madfinger Games, formerly known for mobile hits like Dead Trigger and Shadowgun. In early 2022, Madfinger announced its switch to this new project, with CEO Marek Rabas stating:

The game design we created is not suitable for mobile. It became clear that we needed a big screen to get the best gaming experience.

Gray Zone Warfare was included in our list of the most anticipated shooter games. It is scheduled to launch this year on Steam Early Access, although the developers plan to keep it there for a few years while they implement the full feature set and content. The vast (42 square kilometers) open world island map inspired by the landscapes of Laos will offer an immersive sandbox experience, while the unique health system aims to simulate human body injuries in a much more realistic way than any shooter.

The full version of Gray Zone Warfare will add the following features:

● A complete map featuring all locations and diverse biomes
● A hazardous Ground Zero area with end-game enemies and new storylines
● Different types of AI behaviors based on the enemy type, situation, time, or weather condition
● Faction-based AI with its own agenda involving quests, patrolling, scavenging, and attacking others
