First-ever official Shovel Knight concert announced

SOHO Live has announced the first-ever official Shovel Knight concert.

Shovel Knight Live: Steel Thy Concert is billed as “an epic musical celebration of a decade of digging, arranged by Grammy award-winning artist Charlie Rosen, and Shovel Knight’s irrepressible composer Jake Kaufman”.

The two-hour show is being held at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on January 19, 2025, and The Town Hall in New York on February 22.

A 10-piece band led by Rosen will perform songs including Strike the Earth!, The Magic Mirror, and High Above the Land, with HD gameplay footage shown on screen.

Tickets are now on sale, starting at $69.54 for the LA show and $57 for the New York one.

The shows will also feature live conversations with the developers behind the game, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year.

Yacht Club Games’ title, which was originally brought to life via a Kickstarter campaign, has won multiple awards including Best Independent Game at the inaugural The Game Awards.

It has been released on over 10 platforms, garnering review scores ranging from 85-90 on review aggregation site Metacritic, and the titular character has made cameo appearances in over 25 games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
