In spite of long-running rumors, Doctor Who showrunner Russel T. Davies states that there is no upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and the popular British television series. Former leaks of Doctor Who joining Fortnite had fans of both franchises excited, but this recent comment from the show's lead has put those rumors on ice.

Released in 2017, Fortnite has become one of the most popular games in the world, beloved for its battle royale gameplay and pop culture tie-ins. However, in spite of reliable leakers and datamines revealing Doctor Who content prepared for the game, Davies' statement has shut down rumors for the time being. It is speculated that either negotiations fell through or the in-game items were prepared prior to a final agreement being reached, though the true reason for the collab not moving forward remains unknown.
