Creative Elden Ring Fan is Trolling Other Players From Far Away While Dressed as Patches

An Elden Ring player roleplaying as the game's nefarious NPC, Patches, amusingly gave a squad of players a tough time during a PvP invasion. 2022's Game of the Year maintains a massive playerbase who are still finding new ways to annoy each other in PvP as they continue to eagerly await any news on Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

A recurring fan-favorite character in many of FromSoftware's games, Patches the Untethered is known for his shady and untrustworthy antics. Players can first find him in Limgrave's Murkwater Cave where, in the event he turns hostile, a boss fight with him will ensue. Partway through the fight, Patches will surrender and beg for mercy, giving players the option of killing him or letting him live. The latter sees Patches set up shop and show up in several other locations later in the game, even lending his assistance during Elden Ring's mighty Radahn Festival battle in Caelid. There are several opportunities to acquire Patches' Leather Armor set as well, either by killing him or finding some of the pieces in select locations of the Lands Between.

One invading Elden Ring player took things to another level. On Reddit, Esbidee posted a hilarious clip of their bald-headed, Leather Armor-wearing Patches lookalike character trolling three other players during a PvP invasion in Liurnia. In the clip, Esbidee's character stalks the trio in the distance from atop a large rock, aiming at them with a Jar Cannon and firing, knocking out two thirds of one of their health bars. Before the squad makes it up the rock to attack, Esbidee is able to narrowly teleport away to a nearby location where they can no longer find him. From there, he lets off another shot at the clueless trio of players, this time knocking one of them off the top of the rock, causing them to hilariously plummet to their death.

Underneath the post, Esbidee explains that invading players get three items called Phantom Bloody Fingers which allow invaders to teleport a short distance
