Destiny 2 Releases Update 7.3.6.1

Bungie releases update 7.3.6.1 for Destiny 2, bringing another wave of tweaks and changes to various activities in the popular game, including a fix for a popular exploit in The Whisper mission. Alongside the new update, this week also added two additional BRAVE weapons to the Destiny 2 arsenal. The Mountaintop and Midnight Coup are now available and should players finish the associated quests, they can be attuned and farmed from Onslaught for a chance to earn a holofoil god roll version.

Overall, the Into The Light update has had a very positive impact on Destiny 2 as a whole, seemingly reinvigorating the player base. The timing couldn't be better as The Final Shape is now just weeks away, and a recent Destiny 2 stream revealed a ton of new expansion content including an enemy faction called The Dread, as well as a new Prismatic subclass which is able to essentially mix and match any Light and Darkness abilities, leading to some highly customizable player builds. In the meantime, Bungie continues to keep the game updated with the latest patch arriving this week and making some key tweaks to various areas of the game.

While it may not be anywhere near as big as Update 7.3.6 was for Destiny 2 earlier this month, this latest update does make a number of key changes to the game. For the Crucible, quitter penalties have been expanded to now apply on the account level rather than per character, offering stiffer penalties to try and dissuade those from leaving matches early. After complaints that the unique Iron Banner weapons Tusk of the Boar and Multimach CCX were not rewarded often for players, Bungie has increased the drop rate, so when the Iron Banner comes back one last time this season, players will have a much better chance to earn them.
