As players prowl through the derelict remains of the space station known as The Sprawl, they'll need to do their best to ensure that protagonist Isaac Clarke has enough resources to survive the horrifying hordes of Necromorphs. Currency to purchase supplies is few and far between unless one takes the time to destroy some rather obvious objects.

Per a post by wetodd1337 on the game's Reddit (via GamesRadar+), the user shocked the community by sharing their discovery that shooting and destroying an in-game ATM dropped 10,000 credits, which is the largest currency pick-up in the game.

They further impressed veterans of the franchise by going on to blast a medical station to bits, resulting in a Statis Module. While this feature has likely been in the game since its launch in 2011, most commenters were left stunned, suggesting that the majority of players weren't even aware it was an option to generate supplies.

Even more shocking than the bulk of 's player base not knowing about the ATM trick is that Seth Hall, who worked on the game as a visual effects artist, wasn't even aware that it was possible. It's unknown whether the trick will work for every ATM and medical station but many users have suggested that since quickly picking up 10,000 Credits in a single go could make some sections of the story trivial, it may just be isolated to only one machine.
