Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong has surpassed industry records by selling 10 million copies in just 10 days, indicating that it is a highly popular single-player title for various platforms. Another platform that the game is compatible with is Android, but Black Myth: Wukong was not officially released for it for obvious reasons. However, that did not stop some clever individuals from running it on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with an Adreno 750 GPU. The only problem is that the graphically-demanding nature of the game means that your experience will be abysmal.

A small clip posted by @Pirat_Nation reveals that the Chinese have successfully run Black Myth: Wukong on an Android flagship kitted out with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The video was taken from Bilibili and shows that while the Adreno 750 graphics processor does most of the work, the experience is a lag-fest, with regular traversal not exceeding more than 14FPS, with the occasional bump to 19FPS. We expect that the framerate will drop further during combat sequences, but this video was never meant to showcase the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s capabilities.

In fact, the thermals show that GPU utilization is decent at 85-86 percent, with its clock speed maintained at 1,000MHz and temperature steady at 36.6 degrees Celsius. It is the CPU that is getting hammered, reaching temperatures of a whopping 76 degrees. The image quality is highly fuzzy too, suggesting that the in-game resolution and graphics settings are set at the lowest level. As for how Black Myth: Wukong got working on an Android smartphone, it is a rather simple task, and there are specific emulation applications designed to run PC games on the platform.
