Apple Adopts The Wi-Fi 7 Standard For All iPhone 16 Models, Making It Five Times Faster Than Wi-Fi 6E And Allows For High-Resolution Streaming

Supporting the latest wireless standards was always taken at a snail’s pace by Apple, but with the iPhone 16 launch, the company has decided to take things up a notch and adopted Wi-Fi 7. The international Wi-Fi Alliance consortium unveiled the Wi-Fi 7 standard earlier this year, and it did not take for the iPhone 16 models to adopt it. Wi-Fi 7 operates on the 320MHz channels and combined with the 6GHz band, users can experience a stable wireless experience that is devoid of interference and lag. This attribute alone makes the new iPhone 16 models excellent streaming devices.

The bandwidth upgrade will allow users to witness a lower latency when using the Apple Vision Pro to mirror the iPhone 16 and stream through it, making it yet another improvement.
