Apple Watch Series 10 Was Originally Supposed To Ship With Blood Pressure Monitoring, But Its Design Presented Problems, Forcing A Delay

A slew of health features are being planned for future Apple Watch models, but as you can tell from previous launches, these additions do not always make the cut because the company hits a snag here and there. With the Apple Watch Series 10, which now features a bigger display and a slimmer chassis, a blood pressure sensor was expected to arrive. After all, when you are celebrating your tenth product iteration, you always envision it to have something that the rest of the pack lacks. Sadly, on this occasion, a report states that the changed design forced Apple to delay the health-focused feature.

Specific information mentioned in Mark Gurman’s ‘Power On’ newsletter, which was spotted by 9to5Mac, talks about the issue faced by the Apple Watch Series 10 regarding the blood pressure sensor. Problems arose during the testing phase, particularly with the updated design, so the feature had to be scrapped entirely. Various reports have stated that blood pressure monitoring would arrive in previous Apple Watch models, but as you can tell, this is not the case.

However, YouTuber Vadim Yuryev has made a prediction about the health feature, believing that the only way it can be enabled is through a redesigned band system. These new bands should sport various sensors on the inside that will deliver the reading.
