Zenless Zone Zero: The Best W-Engines & How To Use Them

With so many W-Engines in , it's tricky to know which are best. There are five types of W-Engines: attack, anomaly, stunt, defense, and support. Each engine type can only be equipped with a character of the same type. With this in mind, a few W-Engines knock it out of the park in terms of useability, so take note of those.

One of the biggest influences on the useability of each W-Engine is the team comp you're running them with. For instance, if you're trying to find the best build for Grace Howard, you will want to use a shock-focused W-Gear like Fusion Compiler or Weeping Gemini to empower her main Anomaly. With a W-Engine like this, you'll want to find a team that synergizes well with her shock damage and Anomaly application.

The best Zhu Yuan build for Zenless Zone Zero uses the ideal W-Engine, set of Drive Discs, & team combos that strengthen the Public Security Officer.

Starlight Engine

Doing a Dodge Counter or Quick Assist increases your attack by 12% for 12 seconds.

The best of these four W-Enginesm apply no matter what build you run. Cannon Rotor and the Brimstone both apply directly to your attack rather than relying on any certain damage or attack type. The only caveat to this is the three attack types that The Brimstone requires, but most of your Attack characters will be hitting any of these three moves often enough that it's a non-issue.

For characters like in ZZZ, who focus on Ice Damage and physical ATK, W-Engines like Cannon Rotor will
