Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Optimizer 2.0 Mod Brings The Smoothest DFPS To Date, Proper Up To 8K Resolution Scaling and More

A new version of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Optimizer mod was released online a few days ago, improving the game's emulation with the smoothest dynamic FPS to date, proper resolution scaling up to 8K resolution, and much more.

Version 2.0, which can be downloaded by going here, includes a massive number of new features and improvements, such as the best implementation of dynamic FPS to date, allowing users with systems that cannot keep up with the game's emulation to still deliver a smooth experience, a fix for multiple physics and FPS issues, a dynamic FPS cap, proper resolution scaling up to 8K resolution with fixes for visual issues such as screen space ambient occlusion, shadows and artifacts, the ability to use 8K resolution shadows, better internal memory allocation, new render distance settings, better FOV scaling and much more. You can find all the details on the new version of the mod on Reddit.

Even without the advantages provided by emulation, which Nintendo isn't too happy about due to piracy concerns, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a game that deserves to be played, as highlighted by Nathan in his review.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sticks closely to the blueprint established by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it’s a richer, more rewarding game in most ways that count, offering a more intricate world, versatile suite of abilities, epic story, and satisfying dungeons. The familiarity of this Hyrule and a handful of frustrating sections keep Tears of the Kingdom from feeling quite as surprising and magical as its predecessor, but make no mistake, the wait has been worth it. While it probably behooves Nintendo to carve out an entirely new Legend next, Link’s latest should fill most fans’ heart meters nicely in the meantime.
