Unreal Engine 5.3 Dune Desert Landscape Looks Incredible in New 4K Video

The Unreal Engine 5.3 continues to impress, powering some amazing creations, such as a dune desert landscape showcased in a video shared online this week.

The Dune Desert Landscape - Stone Pit was created by MAWI United, the same team behind other landscapes powered by the latest version of the game engine by Epic. Using Lumen and Nanite, sporting a map 400sqkm featuring sand movement, this is among the most impressive landscapes created with Unreal Engine 5.

Unreal Engine 5.3 is the latest version of the engine by Epic. Released back in September 2023, the new version introduced some important improvements over the previous release, such as enhancements to core rendering, developer iteration, and virtual production toolsets, experimental new rendering, animation, and simulation features, such as cinematic-quality volumetric rendering, orthographic rendering, a Skeletal Editor and more.
