Former Marathon director Christopher Barrett was reportedly fired by Bungie for inappropriate behavior with female employees

Bungie announced in March that its upcoming Marathon reboot had a new game director: Joe Ziegler, the former director of Riot's online shooter Valorant, who joined Bungie in 2022. Ziegler took over from Christopher Barrett, well known among Bungie fans as a designer and director on the Halo and Destiny games who'd been with the studio for nearly 25 years. A reason for Barrett's surprise departure wasn't provided, but a new Bloomberg report says he was fired following an investigation into multiple complaints about inappropriate workplace behavior.

Players seem to like Concord, but its $40 price tag has led to a tepid first weekend on PC

The PlayStation Network doesn't have public player numbers, so it's hard to say what the complete picture is, but things don't look great for Concord on PC. The $40 hero shooter is sitting at mostly positive reviews on Steam, but according to SteamDB, has so far hit a high water mark of just 697 PC players on its opening weekend.

Black Myth: Wukong's new trailer speaks of destiny, immortality, and a squeaky-voiced seagull-centaur-man

Black Myth: Wukong, the just-released RPG from publisher Game Science, just got a new two minute trailer that debuted at the Future Games Show, and it looks like it's all go in this bloodthirsty homage to Journey to the West. Of all the many, many, many strange creatures that pop up in that short time, my current favourite is the oni-headed seagull/falcon creature with the theatrical delivery that claims the lofty title of the "Keeper of the New West" - but it's not like there aren't a fair few to choose from.

The best co-op games on Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X is home to superb games already, and there are plenty of upcoming games to be excited about too. As much as we all love competing in the best multiplayer games on Xbox Series X, sometimes you would rather team up with a friend than fight them. Co-op games let you and your friends turn the tables on the game itself to stack the odds in your favor. While local co-op has started to fade away, cross-platform games make it easier than ever to join up with friends online even if they’re playing on a different console.

Blizzard will inject a little WoW into Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred with a new co-op dungeon and party finder

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is starting to look a lot like a budding MMO—or something closer to Destiny 2 at least—with the Dark Citadel, an endgame four-player co-op dungeon with weekly rewards.

Larian released a teaser for the new evil endings coming in Baldur's Gate 3's next patch, and they really weren't kidding about the evil part

Next month, Baldur's Gate 3 is getting its eagerly awaited Patch 7, adding dynamic splitscreen in co-op play, an official modding toolkit, and—most importantly for certain unrepentant sickos among you—expanded and improved endings for evil characters. Earlier today, Larian posted a fresh teaser for one of the Dark Urge's new evil endings, and wouldn't you know it: Seems pretty dark!
