Taking a detour into a puzzle can be a dangerous endeavor. Most of the danger comes from its addictive nature, fueling players with frustration and adrenaline as they attempt to put words into categories that are not always clear. Puzzle 411 is not the most difficult of the recent puzzles, but it does have some tricky spots.

If you want more word-based puzzle goodness, you should try the NYT puzzle that isavailable for free daily. While you have to subscribe to play the more traditionally-sized version, the small one is just big enough to scratch the crossword itch and small enough to not take a significant portion of your day away. It is a great daily puzzle to give a whirl.

Wordle, the popular word-guessing game hosted by The New York Times, has over 1,700 words remaining as possible solutions.
